FURBABIES (Furry Union of Rascally Board Animals Bringing Inspiration, Energy, and Support)
So much of our work happens between meetings and at home . . . we're grateful for the loyalty and support of our four-legged family members who remind us to bark less and wag more. Indeed, their roles at the Preservation Society cannot be overstated.

Name: Yoshi (on the ottoman)
Title: Head (& Tail) of Security Bio: Yoshi was rescued by Alicia Pion and her husband Craig in June of 2016, at approximately 1.5 years old. As a basenji mix, safety and security are in her blood, and she can often be found paw-trolling the perimeter of their home, the dog park, or wherever else life's adventures take her. She is truly an international dog of mystery; while her origins are largely unknown, she frequently accompanies her humans on trips to Cape Cod, Vermont, and even Canada. In her "time off", she shares Craig's love of peanut butter, Alicia's love of cheese, and frequently monopolizes the fluffiest blanket she can get her paws on with a burrito impression that would make Stanislavsky himself weep with pride. She has been trained to be a Bruins fan, and loves to celebrate their goals with a high paw (the peanut butter pretzels she gets for doing so are just an added bonus!). Name: Daisy (on the floor) Title: DEI/Accessibility Pawfficer Bio: Daisy came into Craig and Alicia's lives as a "foster fail" in May of 2024. Almost immediately, she demonstrated high levels of both intelligence and empathy, and is currently in training to become a service dog. As a beagle mix, she shares Alicia's vocal stylings and trademark sass. She can frequently be found having secret conversations with the neighbor dog next door to coordinate walkies, and engaging her big sister in a wrestling match with a playful boop on the snoot. She is a champion for the fair and equitable application of rules and policies, and wants to ensure that everyone can sit, stay, and roll over at the table and have their voice be heard (except for the squeakers in every toy in the house, which must be destroyed!). |

Name: Zöe
Title: Chief Play Innovator Bio: A German Shepherd mix, Zöe (Greek for "life") was adopted by her human, Avi Bouchedid, when she was 14 weeks old. She'll be 12 years old in December 2024 but still gives off a major puppy vibes, especially when she's fetching her tennis ball in the local lake. She doesn't like being looked at while she eats so will often wait until her humans turn away before enjoying her meals. |

Title: Senior Cuddle Consultant Name: Tommy Tobias-Bell aka Mr. Whackadoodle Title: Safety Czar Bios: Zelda (a true tortie) and Tommy ("just" black & gray marbled) are short-haired domestic cats certified as Emotional Support Animals. Tommy was born in May 2023 and Zelda was born in 2014. Sleeping on the job at Paula Rosenberg Bell's abode is their number 1 priority. |
